South Central SALT Conference is held at the Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center in Downtown Dallas, TX.

WHO CAN ATTEND SOUTH CENTRAL SALT?

South Central SALT Conference is hosted by the South Central Region of Chi Alpha Campus Ministries, U.S.A. and is primarily attended by college students connected to chapters in our region. The Conference is open to all college-age individuals as well as current high school seniors.

WHERE ARE ATTENDEES HOUSED?

Included with Conference Registration are 3 nights in a 2 Queen Guest Room at the Downtown Sheraton Hotel which connects directly to the Conference Center.

WHAT SHOULD I PACK?

Weather in Dallas during winter months can be unpredictable – check the forecast before you pack!  In general, casual clothes, comfortable shoes (you’ll be walking alot!), toiletries, Bible, journal, and pen.  You may want to bring a special outfit for the New Year’s Eve Celebration as well!

Who are the speakers

Our morning speaker will be Jennifer Schiefer from the University of Central Arkansas.  Our evening speaker will be Curt Harlow, pastor at Bayside Church in California.  World Prayer will be led by Cynthia Dobbs from Oklahoma State University.

Who is leading Worship?

The worship team at Texas Tech University led by Cullen Williams.

Housing

CAN I CHOOSE MY ROOMMATE?

Yes! You can indicate roommate preferences during registration! (Please note that your entire room will need to be present at check-in to guarantee placement.)

Can I stay off-site??

You are welcome to stay somewhere else, but we do not have a pricing option for staying off-site.

WHAT KIND OF ROOM DO ATTENDEES STAY IN?

SALT attendees stay in 2-Queen Guest Rooms with 4 people per room.

WHAT DINING OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE ON-SITE?

Within the hotel are the Open Mkt. Grab ‘n Go, the Open Palette, and the Draft Sports Bar and Lounge.  On-site restaurants have different service times.  In general, on-site dining is more expensive than nearby options.  Any meals purchased at on-site restaurants are the financial responsibility of attendees.

WHAT DINING OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE NEARBY?

Within walking or quick driving distance of the Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center are many delicious restaurants with options from ranging from delis to Chinese and Italian.  The Conference Guide released just before the Conference will contain recommendations.  (NOTE:  Check the limitations of your parking provider before driving – some parking lots don’t allow in/out privileges.)

Where can attendees park?

 

  1. The quickest and easiest place to park is at The Sheraton Hotel parking garage at a rate of $15 per day (including in/out privileges).  You will need to leave credit card info with the hotel when you check into your room to cover the parking charges.
  2. You can also use the ParkMe.com website to search up other (potentially free) parking options!  These options may not include the ability to move your car from the parking space during your stay, so be sure to ask about in/out privileges before making your decision!

How much does a ticket to South Central SALT Conference cost?

The earlier you register, the more you save!

Early Individual Registration:  $219

3-6 years:  $20
6-12 years:  $40
12-17 years:  $60

What does the ticket include?

The ticket includes Conference Registration, access to the Exhibit Hall, Late Night activities, New Year’s Celebration, shared hotel room (4 per room), and 2 Lunches on-site.

Are there any extra fees?

During registration, attendees are charged a processing fee based on the type of registration chosen.  Dinner meals, Parking, Merch, and sightseeing are paid for separately by attendees.

When does Early Registration end?

Early Registration ends at Midnight (CST) on December 6, 2022.

Can I register with just a deposit?

Yes!  A non-refundable, non-transferrable $50 deposit can be paid to lock in the Early price!

When will the balance of my ticket need to be paid?

Balances must be paid in full by midnight (CST) December 26th in order to receive a Golden Ticket, which gives you access to express check-in.

Can I register for part of the conference?

Because housing is included in the ticket price, we are not able to offer partial registrations.

Can I stay off-site?

You are welcome to stay wherever you like, but we do not have a pricing option for staying off-site.

Can I register on-site?

Yes!  Come to Check-In and bring your debit / credit card for payment and we will take care of the rest!

If I absolutely cannot pay my balance by December 26th, can I pay on-site?

Yes!  We can take debit / credit card payments on-site; however, you will not receive a Golden Ticket or have access to the express check-in line.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept all major debit / credit cards.

Can I get a refund or transfer my registration?

Refunds – $50 of every registration is non-refundable and non-transferrable.  The balance is refundable.  To request a refund please email us.

Transfers – We are unable to transfer registrations.

What will I need for Check-In?

You will just need your Golden Ticket!

(NOTE:  If you do not have a Golden Ticket, you will need your debit / credit card for payment.)

What is the schedule?

The schedule will be released closer to the Conference on the website and in the digital Conference Guide.

Will there be free time?

Each afternoon / evening will include free time during which attendees will eat dinner on their own.

Are any meals provided?

Yes!  The 2 lunches on the 30th and 31st are included with Conference Registration.  Menus vary.

I have dietary restrictions. Will I still be able to eat the included lunches?

Yes!  We can order special meals for attendees with dietary restrictions.  You can request these special meals during registration.  If you forgot to request them when you registered, please email us.

Where can I find the songs from worship?

Shortly before the Conference, we will share a Spotify playlist with the setlist for this year’s Conference.  Watch our Instagram for the release!

Can I purchase Exhibitor space at SALT?

COVID-19

Are attendees required to wear face masks?

Conference activities will be held in crowded, enclosed spaces making the spread of COVID-19 possible.  Attendees are responsible for their own health precautions.

At the time of posting, the Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center is not requiring the use of face masks.  Conference attendees are, therefore, encouraged but not required to wear face masks.

(NOTE:  As the Conference approaches, circumstances will be reevaluated, so this could change at any time.)
